2009 Suzuki QuadRacer LT-R450 First Ride

Faster, lighter and easier-to-ride; these are some of the attributes we’ve come to expect from ATV manufacturers each new year. And just like we count on getting a little more grey hair on our head, we can also count on Suzuki to keep delivering a more refined QuadRacer R450.

But things weren’t always this way. Flashback a few years and you might remember that the current level of “race-ready“ convenience didn’t even exist. Then, successfully navigating the moto track required a thick wad of cash for a new machine, followed up by another stack of bills for hop-up components such as wider A-arms, axle, and sturdier shocks. Only then would you be able to run around at the racetrack without worrying about hurting yourself.

All of this changed when Suzuki released its QuadRacer as an all-new model in 2006. With the introduction, a new category of sport ATVs were born. Last year, engineers injected the LT-R with a host of changes that are aimed at getting you around the track faster and more comfortably than ever.

Suzuki SX4 WRC At Sema

SEMA 2007 will show us what all the hustle and bustle is surrounding the all new Suzuki SX4 WRC concept car. It's bold, it's rally, and it's Suzuki so you know it has to be good. Just check out the lines on this beautiful car and be sure to check it out at SEMA.

Suzuki Makai Pic

I never was a fan of the Woody Van, complete with surfboard adorning the top. Not to mention the blonde haired buff boys just did nothing for me.
Well, that's what this new Suzuki Makai reminds me of. However, I'm sure the 19" Rims and LED brake lights will appeal to that younger, hipper, more not old fashioned look, as I do. pfft Only the stock boys at Abercrombie and the girly men at the local Lotion Shop will enjoy this new concept.

New Suzuki SV650

Back in the day I had one of these torque monsters (relative to it's size) and it was a phenomenal bike to drive. I couldn't bring myself to adopt the Harley type bikes, nor did I particularly enjoy the high pitched whine of a crotch rocket, but the Suzuki SV650 made a nice compromise to both. It's an entry level bike, being the first big boy you may wrap your legs around, but allows for plenty of room for growth. I enjoyed mine for several years before finally retiring to sports cars, but I still miss tearing around town and long winding roads. Yes, I'm being nostalgic, but just looking at the SV 650 makes my heart race again, although I had the slightly more attractive SV650S model.

2008 Suzuki XL7 Limited

The all new Suzuki XL7 Limited is getting rave reviews around the net for it's functionality and what you get for your money. A base line Limited model XL7 can be had for just over $27,000, which is a bargain for how much vehicle you actually get. It's roomy and the potent V6 boasts being able to tow a fairly heavy payload.

Suzuki Sport Jimny and 3D Configurator

The Jimny is a small, Jeep Wrangler-like SUV (albeit smaller, and offered with a fully-integrated hardtop as well as soft top) that has been around since 1970 in Japan. While not available in the U.S. market, the Jimny has been sold in many countries worldwide since its debut. Now on its 3rd generation platform (since 1998), the Jimny still has a loyal following. The Suzuki Sport website offers several after market-type enhancements for the car, as well as a " 3D costum simulation" page that's fun to play with. American Suzuki should look in to offering such a tool for its website for accessorizing with parts, as it gives the potential buyer a better idea of what a fully -ized dealer-customized Suzuki car can look like. See the source link beneath the pictures for more.

Suzuki SX4 WRC Special Edition

Suzuki re-entered the World Rally Championship this year with its small SX4 hatchback and so far has done quite well, with both its vehicles scoring points at the recent Acropolis Rally in Greece.

To capitalize on its initial success, Suzuki has released a SX4 WRC Special Edition that will be limited to 500 units and will be available only in the German market.

Under the hood of this "urban cross car" is the SX4's stock 107-horsepower 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. Compare that with the turbocharged 300-hp WRC engine, and you might say the special edition and the WRC rally car don't have much in common where power is concerned.

Aesthetically speaking, the SX4 WRC gets a body kit that includes new front and rear spoilers, side skirts and a sport grille. Sixteen-inch rally-design wheels wrapped in low-profile 205/60R16 rubber help complete the look, with the help of the WRC-themed stickers that cover the body.

Suzuki Drives Up Profits on Strong Demand in Europe and Asia

Japan's Suzuki Motor Corp said that its first-quarter net profit increased 6.9 percent on robust demand in Europe and Asia, which offset the impact of soaring steel costs. The company posted a net profit of 26.03bn yen ($241m) for the three months to June. Operating profit fell 16.5 percent to 33.80bn yen, hit by a stronger yen, while revenue edged up 1.8 percent to 910.41bn yen. For the full financial year to March, Suzuki kept unchanged its forecast for a 0.3 percent decline in net profit to 80bn yen. Suzuki Motor is enjoying brisk sales in Europe and the rest of Asia, particularly in India, one of the world's fastest growing automobile markets where the Japanese firm has a solid foothold. That helped to offset sluggish demand in the United States and Japan. Top Indian car maker Maruti Suzuki, which is majority owned by Suzuki, said last week its quarterly net profit fell seven percent as high input costs and fuel prices outweighed the benefits of rising revenue.

Suzuki DF25 Motor Test - Australian F&B

Click on the link below to view the Suzuki DF25 Motor Test as published in the September 2008 edition of Australian Fisherman & Boatowner. To quote the last paragraph in the review,
We'd recommend very strongly that (for example) if you've got a good Suzuki dealer in your town, he's got a competent service department, the price is right, then we'd buy this engine with absolute confidence.

Well, you do have a good Suzuki dealer in town (Boat Scene of course!), with a very professional, experienced and competent service department, and great deals on Suzuki outboards!

Suzuki GSX-R1000 2009

The new Suzuki GSX R1000 looks wise doesn’t overwhelm you like the Yamahas. It doesn’t look bad either, but maybe Suzuki has to redesign the ugly styled exhaust and sporty colors doesn’t impress too much.

New Suzuki GSX-R1000 that rolled out in 2009 comes with low kerb weight, extra electronics and more power (the electronics is designed to harvest all the power generated by the engine). The exhaust is huge and looks like irritant (if I am not sounding rude) and the colors are actually nauseating. Suzuki GSX-R1000 2009 has all that and more.

The new 2009 Suzuki GSX-R1000 runs on a 999 cc lighter engine that generates extra power and torque giving improved throttle delivery at any rpm. The engine has larger valves in titanium and it has adopted forged piston technology and spark plug made of Iridium (for a stronger and quicker spark that can better the combustion).

The cylinders are SCEM plated (Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material) and are joined through crankcase, so to reduce friction as well as improve heat transfer and life. The 2009 Suzuki GSX-R1000 engine has an upped compression ratio of 12.8:1 with the fuel injectors having 12 holes to generate a mist of fuel for a loss-free combustion and also improve on economy.

Then, the new GSX-R1000 has S-DMS (Suzuki Drive Mode Selector) on handlebar on left side that offers a mode to select the ride mode to suit the ride conditions as well as economizing on the fuel.

There is torque limiting clutch for hassle-free clutch operation. The new SAES (Suzuki Advanced Exhaust System) has a high volume under-engine chamber as well as Moto GrandPrix styled titanium mufflers.

The Idle Speed Control system is to give a stable idle quality that in turn gives low emissions. The wheelbase is long and makes a smooth ride for race enthusiasts.

2009 SUZUKI EQUATOR

For 2009, that’s changing, as Suzuki finished a understanding with Nissan for a own chronicle of a Frontier. Called a Equator, Suzuki hopes to captivate sand, mud, as well as sea enthusiasts to a automotive salon for a lorry with a own name brand.

There have been couple of differences in between a Equator as well as Frontier, which have been made side by side in Nissan’s plant in Smyrna, Tennessee. Both come with a preference of a 2.5-liter 4 or 4.0-liter V-6; five-speed primer or involuntary transmissions (the Frontier adds a choice of a six-speed manual); two-wheel expostulate or four-wheel expostulate with VDC, HDC, as well as Hill Start Assist; reduced or prolonged bed; as well as lengthened taxi or organisation cab. The V-6’s energy smoothness is excellent, though a engine is rather wanton as well as noisy. The Equator’s severe float could be helped by stuffing a bed with cargo, though there’s zero which can be finished about a 43.6-foot branch circle-that usually about guarantees three-point turns where U-turns would sufficient in alternative trucks. The cabin has copiousness of room, though a usually conspicuous visible disproportion is a Suzuki pinned token in a core of a steering wheel. The Equator’s lorry bed benefits from Nissan’s Utili-track bedrail complement as well as spray-on bedliner.

2007 Suzuki SX4 Crossover

You’ve heard about all the big car awards. You know, like Car of the Year, Truck of the Year or Most Significant Vehicle. But are you aware of the Best Kept Secret? You are if you’ve heard about Autobytel’s Editors’ Choice Awards. This year, we put that title on the 2007 Suzuki SX4, an all-wheel-drive wagon that stickers for less than $16,000, has room for five, is a versatile little hauler and is covered by a 100,000-mile powertrain warranty. We’ve done our best to increase awareness for this worthwhile vehicle, but until Suzuki increases production and puts forth some advertising, it’s destined to remain a secret between you and us.

Suzuki Grand Vitara

Remember 1988? Lycra leggings, head-bands, shell suits and the arrival of the Suzuki Vitara, which became synonymous with all of the above.

The Grand Vitara took over in 1997, at which time, Suzuki was proud to be the market-leader in compact SUVs. So, the latest, third-generation, of this ‘lifestyle’ car has quite a lot to live up to.

Suzuki tells us that it wanted to retain and return to the Vitara’s roots and also engage new customers who would be more inclined to so-called ‘cross-over’ vehicles, tempting them with a car more capable than a soft-roader but with just as much sophistication and better dynamics both on and off-road.

Suzuki Kizashi Concept Car

As we told you a few weeks ago, Suzuki's got themselves a concept car here at the Frankfurt Auto Show and it's called the Kizashi. We don't know much else about it mostly because we can't seem to find a press release on it, but it looks kinda sweet, don't it? The one thing we do know is that according to MoneyControl India, which may be a website about controling the world's banks, India's banks or just about personal finance — they think it's going to be built and Suzuki will be sending a lot of them over to the land of the big Tata. We'll see. We'll also let you know if we get a press release on it

Supercars That Spoil

What cars make you feel like a star?

For me, they are speedsters and ultra-luxury vehicles. Nothing compares.

Buyers of ultra-high-end cars have traditionally fallen into one of two camps: performance or luxury. There are the thrill seekers, strapped into million-dollar Bugatti Veyrons, zooming down the autobahn at 200-plus mph. And then there’s the chauffeured set, lounging in the backseats of Rolls-Royce Phantoms while sipping glasses of Cristal, according to MSNBC.

Judging by the latest crop of supercars to hit the market, automakers are betting more big-spenders fall somewhere in between the two extremes. You no longer have to choose between ultra-fast acceleration and hand-stitched comfort. In some new models, you get the best of both worlds.

No car embodies the Goldilocks approach better than Fiat’s Maserati GranTurismo, a supercar that made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show. A sportier update of the four-door Quattroporte, the Pininfarina-designed GranTurismo is more compact and more curvaceous than its predecessor, with a wider grille.

Maserati also wanted to cater to the power-hungry driver by giving it a 4.2-liter V8 engine capable of 405 hp at 7,100 rpm. That produces a top speed of 177 mph and zero-to-62-mph acceleration of 5.2 seconds — not the quickest of the supercar lot, but a first for the luxury nameplate. Drivers aren’t likely to forget they’re inside a $110,000 Maserati, either: The interior is covered with Italian leather, and the trunk has its own set of designer luggage co-branded with Italian luxury design house Salvatore Ferragamo.

In its bid to trump German rivals BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche with an aggressive coupe of its own, Volkswagen’s Audi division in 2007 introduced the R8.

Some carmakers are betting there’s a strong market for the all-out performance supercar. That’s the statement Lamborghini made when it introduced the Reventon at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, the rarest, most expensive, and most powerful car the company has ever produced. Modeled after a stealth fighter jet, the sleek, metallic car has a V12 engine capable of 651 hp. It comes in just below $1.5 million, and only 20 will ever be produced.

Suzuki Concept Kizashi 3

In attractive silver paint, a somewhat Audi-inspired, large metallic crosshatch grille and a wide and muscular stance, this concept looks to be all business. The oversized, 21 inch aftermarket wheels add plenty of style, though the huge brake rotors partially hidden behind the spokes communicate an underlying athletic theme Suzuki was seeking. That’s further emphasized by Kizashi 3’s wide track, muscular stance and, at the very least, the image of upscale performance. Kizashi is Suzuki’s first glance at the third phase in their ‘Way of Life’ global strategy, which started in 2004 with the launch of the first tagline, which was ‘sportiness’. Under the bulging hood, the concept adopts a 300 horsepower naturally-aspirated 3.6-liter V-6 that is teamed with a paddle-shift six-speed automatic gearbox and uses an Advanced i-AWD (All-Wheel Drive) system that is the beneficiary of the company’s success in racing. Suzuki is also leaving on the table the possibility of future hybrid and clean diesel versions of the car. As to such a future car’s price, the company responds that with the exception of the most heavily-optioned versions, a production Kizashi will “absolutely” come in “without cracking $30,000. Clearly Suzuki, much like Hyundai, is well aware that not only is consumer spending potential tight in the current market, but that they will need to fight preconceived notions of their brand while fighting for buyers. While it officially is still a concept car, Suzuki has made it clear to all who will listen that it wants to enter a vehicle into a more up-market segment, perhaps first releasing a sport sedan version of this concept by 2010.

In addition, the figure "4" in the title of the vehicle can be attributed to the system and drive 4 х4 that makes "off-element" in Suzuki SX4.

Let's hope the Biplane didn't get its name from something that happened during test runs — motorcycles tend to be at their best with at least one wheel on the ground.

The Biplane is a concept motorcycle design that Suzuki is showing off at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. Details are scarce, but it looks damn fast and the sleek, yellow shell looks like something straight out of an anime. Click through the gallery for a few other angles of the Biplane. — Kevin Hall

Suzuki GSX-R600

Suzuki has launched the new 2008 Suzuki GSX-R600 on the eve of the 2007 Paris Motorcycle Show

The new 2008 Suzuki GSX-R600 gets a new look with more effective aerodynamics and a new fairing with three horizontally-mounted halogen headlights. Main beam uses all three lights, with a ‘position lamp’ above the main headlight to keep the traditional vertically-stacked look of the Suzuki GSX-R-600. They sit above the central two ram-air intakes in a fairing which is wider at the handlebars to reduce turbulence.

suzuki-600-2008-emission

There’s also a larger 17-litre tank to provide fuel for the 16,000rpm redline engine, which features three engine maps selectable on-the-fly, like the Suzuki GSX-R1000. It also has a new Suzuki fuel injection system, and is housed in an aluminium-alloy frame, with a new rear subrame which saves 125 grams. There are fully-adjustable Showa forks and rear shock, 14-position adjustable footpegs, an electronic steering damper which reacts to the speed of the motorcycle, and a seat height of 810mm.

Lighter alloy wheels are the same dimensions as the previous Suzuki GSX-R600, but sqve 430 grams between them. The front brakes are dual radial-mount opposed Tokico front calipers with 310mm discs. The single-piston reqr Tokico caliper works with a 220mm disc.
